U.S Medical Schools The AMCAS Program is a centralized application processing service that is currently available only to applicants to the first-year entering classes at participating U.S. medical schools.

 

Requirements:

 Check MSAR (Each school’s requirement is different)

 Taken your MCAT

 Recommendation/Evaluation Letters

 You may have up to 10 letter entries associated with your AMCAS application.

 Complete your Personal Comments essay

 Use the Personal Comments Essay as an opportunity to distinguish yourself from other applicants. Consider and write your Personal Comments Essay carefully; many admissions committees place significant weight on the essay. Here are some questions that you may want to consider while writing the essay:

 Why have you selected the field of medicine?

 What motivates you to learn more about medicine?

 What do you want medical schools to know about you that hasn’t been disclosed in other sections of the application? In addition, you may wish to include information such as:

 Unique hardships, challenges, or obstacles that may have influenced your educational pursuits

 Comments on significant fluctuations in your academic record that are not explained elsewhere in your application

U.S DENTAL SCHOOLS

​The American Dental Education Association’s Associated American Dental Schools Application Service (ADEA AADSAS) is the centralized application service for all U.S. dental schools

 

Requirements:

 Completed all of your pre-DAT dental school prerequisite courses.

 Generated a DENTPIN

 Taken or scheduled your DAT

 Asked your 4 evaluators for letters of recommendation

 One general dentist

 Two hard science professors

 One profession

 Complete your personal statement (4,500 characters max)

 One page, 4,500 characters, including spaces.

 Answer the question: Why do I want to pursue a Dental Education?

 Resume

 Documentation of all shadowing hours with a general dentist in addition to any shadowing experience with other dentists  Print out of unofficial transcript to help list your courses in the application.
